Interview with: Rafe
Written By:  Indie Iris from GreenlandLive.net

Turned Up Missing was formed after Rafe, and his brother Ben started playing music with their longtime friend Andy Orsow in 2003, they have since added Chase Danielle on bass and most recently Luke Bogeron on drums.  The name 'Turned Up Missing' was found on a website listing oxymoron's; they all liked and Turned Up Missing is now one of the hottest Indie rock bands in the Pacific Northwest, some have never heard!  These gentlemen have shared the stage with some up and coming stars of the indie music scene like Barcelona, Daphne Loves Derby, Sherwood, Showbread, Jonezetta, This Providence, The Summer Obsession, Waking Ashland, The Forecast, New London Fire, Facing New York and Stole Your Woman.

Turned Up Missing is influenced by a wide variety of artists, musicians, and songwriters, everything from The Beatles to Hip Hop,  'As such its hard to say any particular artist is a main influence other than great music thats come before us.'  Turned Up Missing audience is very easy to describe, 'it's people who enjoy and love to dance!'  Their main goals as artist are to play music professionally, do not have day jobs, and have FUN!

GreenlandLive.net believes the great chemistry within Turned Up Missing mixed with great melodies make for a great album plain and simple !  'We don't have a particular message we try to emphasize.  We just try to stay away from lyrics involving typical boy/girl dramas.'  Turned Up Missing is currently touring with their new album that portrays our growth as songwriters and musicians; its currently untitled, but it's set to be due out in June.  A big moment in their careers, 'was going on tour for the first time.  We all loved it and knew thats what we wanted to be doing.'
