This Rock band has gone to jazz camp. Songs like ‘Kid it’s a Long Way Back’ demonstrate that The Lives of Famous Men understand the art of dynamics and the shout of a whisper; while possessing the testicular reassurance to take a good song to the lounge of modern rock. Sure it maybe a little camp, but so maybe the art of rock. Their excellent production, promising songwriting, obvious musicianship hint at Brit rock drama, back to basics New Wave, and capable jazz undertones seem to just make sense in their relatively unique format (i.e. will ten bands bite before they break?).

And big ups for the VIBES on 'Kid'. Thank god for Synthesizers. Luggin’ a real vibraphone back up to Anchorage, Alaska would be a bitch, Poor Lionel Hampton.
